Thinning hair caused by damaged hair?

Hi, I'm 20 years old

recently I've noticed that my hair is sort of thinning, here is picture: http://i30.tinypic.com/25qg3o7.jpg

it is brittle, becomes greasy at the end of the day and it feels like there is just less hair when i touch my head.

now, my dad started losing his hair at 45 so i don't think this is due to heredity. He's now 57 and still has a lot of hair on his head. and it is not the same pattern at all either.

I haven't cut my hair in over 4 years.

I wash it everyday with finess 2 in 1 and blow dry it while using a curling brush. I always have hair in my hands when I wash it. and i lose some more when i blow dry it.

What i want to know is,

is it possible that my hair is thinning because i haven't cut it in so long? and if I do cut it very short, will it ever grow as long as now and as healthy as before?

thanks in advance.

Thinning hair caused by damaged hair?

blow drying your hair everyday is very damaging, you should think about getting it trimmed a little bit on the ends for a more healthy look. It will get rid of the fried / dead ends also why you're at the salon ask about some shampoo's and conditioner's that could help increase the volume in your hair.

best of luck.

Thinning hair caused by damaged hair?

Some people just have naturally thin hair which I think is whats happening in your case. If you notice clumps of hair falling out (a few strands in the shower is normal) head over to a doctor as it could mean numerous things. Try using a shampoo for oily hair and keep your hands out of it as much as possible. As for the cut, it is always healthy to get a regular trim. Also use serum or spray that protects from heat damage of blowdryers and irons. Don't kill your hair.

Goodluck!

Thinning hair caused by damaged hair?

I would strongly reccomend cutting your hair. Your hair is (probably) thinning because it is unhealty from not cutting it in awhile. You know, hair grows alot right after you cut it! Hope this helps!!

Thinning hair caused by damaged hair?

well I'll tell you what I know and you decide

There was this intersting product I saw- all natural -they say geishas used for long hair. its an oil nd you leave on overnight-

I was getting something else for my daughter when I saw it on site- tried it on her- she had shortish scanty hair- like most kids, i guess, and it worked very quickly on her- she's 2- also used it on her eyelashes like they said, and they are lovely and curvy now.

Her hair got thicker and longer in less than a couple of weeks- they said onsite will work faster for kids %26amp; short hair

Take a look- www.katuri.com

called natural hairgrow- I only took a sample size - was just enough for her - next time I get

Thinning hair caused by damaged hair?

I bet it is heredity. It doesn't mean that it is going to strike the same as it did at your dad's age. Mine started thinning too in my 20's. I'm a female so it makes it just that much more unacceptable than it does for a guy losing it. I told my doctor and he said that it was typical to lose 100 hairs a day. I think he thought I was just paranoid. Went to another doctor later and all she said was that all they could do is test me and test me and then tell me that it is going to fall out anyway. So unfortunately we have to come to terms with it. With your hair being greasy, it can clog the pores on your scalp. Get rid of the finesse. It will weigh down your hair. Use a professional product instead. I will recommend probably one of best things that I have ever had for my hair. Your hair will really be squeeky clean. You can find it online if you can't find it at a salon. It's Steiner London. You will want the Abundance. It's an intense volumizing shampoo. It's pricey at about $20. but a little goes a long way and mine last me several months. Since your hair is brittle I would say blow drying would attribute to a lot of it. Use a good moisture treatment I would use the light weight definition cream. If you wanted to ,you could get the SOS, but only use it once a month. Here's a site http://www.timetospa.com/product.asp?cat...

Another thing that is good for hair is to take biotin tablets.

Stress also causes hair loss as well as underlying medical conditions.

I was a beautician years ago, but I am also not a spokes person for these products. I just know what works for me. You only showed the top of your scalp so don't know what to tell you as far as the length of your hair. The longer it is, the more likely that it weighs your hair down. Perhaps a bit of sculpturing would help with some layers.

What can I do to prevent my thinning hair?

I'm 17 and have thinning hair, but, according to what I've been researching lately, this could be caused by many things but really the only things that seem to fit best to my history are: Pulling my hair up tight for years, genetics, poor nutrition, or perming and coloring. Other than that I use mousse everyday and most of the time a hot iron and blow dryer. I also shampoo my hair every day because it gets oily fast and tends to part but I don't use conditioner. Then I take Biotin and Grapefruit Seed Extract to help promote healthy skin and hair. Could I be doing something wrong? Do I need to eliminate some things, such as the way I style my hair or using vitamins? Or do I need to just be patient and wait for it to grow back? It's been like this for over a year now. Please anyone who can help I would gladly appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

What can I do to prevent my thinning hair?

First heredity have a lot to do with it. BUt from teh amount of stuff you do to your hair, you may be causing the thinning. Using hot irona and blow dryers every day can seriously break your hair, do you protect it with the proper creams before using hot stuff? Pulling it up all the time is bad, but chemically treating it all the time is bad too. If you chemically treat your hair you have to maintain it and use the proper products to keep your hair healthy. Speak to your hair stylist, maybe they can suggest treatments that can make your hair stronger and better ways to maintain it.

What can I do to prevent my thinning hair?

My best friend was philipino in elementry. She and other asian girls always had the nicest hair. I always thought it was because, asians, and my friend ate rice with everything. ??? It's worth a shot. At GNC they have Hair Skin and Nails. Also Prenatal vitamins aside from what you take now.

Also maybe you should pay attention to what your eating, and what your lacking with food. I think poor nutrition can really do damage, also some medications can too.

Getting hair thinned... good idea?

I have really thick long (mid back) hair. LOTS of it. It always tangles, gets everywhere, looks wild... i want to keep my hair long but is it a good idea to thin it? What do hair stylists do when they thin your hair? do they pull it out or something... no that sounds really stupid but seriously how do they do it? Is it bad for your hair to thin it? what if they make it TOO thin...???

sorry lots of questions ;)

Getting hair thinned... good idea?

i have thick hair too. i have mines thinned and now its not that thick. it will not be too thin. they only thin it a little.they use thinning shears to thin it.

Getting hair thinned... good idea?

DON'T DO IT!!!! IT'S A HORRIBLE IDEA, TRUST ME I HAD BEAUTIFUL THICK LONG HAIR WITH VOLUME AND EVERYTHING AND THIS WEIRDO STYLIST THINNED IT OUT IN NOV, AND I'M STILL TRYING TO GROW IT BACK HOW IT WAS. IT LOOKS BAD LIKE YOU HAVE NO HAIR AND SCRAGALLY AND GROSS. PLEASE DON'T DO IT TAKE MY ADVICE I'M PAYING THE PRICE. OBV IT'S YOUR CHOICE THOUGH BEST OF LUCK WITH DECIDING. OH AND THEY DO IT BY "TEXTURIZING" YOUR HAIR LIKE THEY'LL LAYER IT IN SUCH A WAY WITH SPECIAL SCISSORS. IT'S NOT COOL AT ALL!

Getting hair thinned... good idea?

OMFG!!! i cant believe you would even ask something like this! Everyone wants thick hair like yours but you actually want othin it??!! It is very bad for your hair and DO NOT DO IT. I mean maybe a few strands, but it will still hurt your hair.

I have thick wavy hair but want thinner straight hair?

i have what some call the "jew fro". i want straight thin hair but i'm stuck with thick wavy hair. is there a shampoo or conditioner that i could use because my mom won't let me get it permed.

I have thick wavy hair but want thinner straight hair?

I dont think you have a product for thinning your hair... you can get it done from a salon... straigtening should decrease the volume of the hair to an extent but if you need it to be thinned better go to a salon and by a thinning product from them... sorry.. cant be of better help :(....

gud luck:)

I have thick wavy hair but want thinner straight hair?

you could get it thinned out. ask for them to thin it out next time you get your hair cut. then you could flat iron it.

I have thick wavy hair but want thinner straight hair?

Go to a salon and ask cause I would never have a clue. Sorry ;)

I have thick wavy hair but want thinner straight hair?

u dont want to thin your hair thin straight hair is weak and feable you have strong beautiful thick hair be happy and thankful with what you have been given

I have thick wavy hair but want thinner straight hair?

try straightening it every morning, though it's going to take you some time to do it.

there isn't really a shampoo/conditioner that you can just rub in your hair, and voila! it's straight! But you can try these brands...

1. Sunsilk (for straight hair ..it's in a purple bottle and comes in shampoo, conditioner, and creme .. you have to use all 3 in order for it work properly)

2. Herbal essences dangerously straight ( yeah, it's for girls.. but it's worth a shot I guess). I DO NOT recommend this as much

Also, you can look for any type of straightening cream at the drugstore.. or they have gels that are heat reactive where you just apply it , then blowdry and it will hopefully turn straight

I have thick wavy hair but want thinner straight hair?

OK a family member of mine has the same prob. What you need to do is buy Sunsilk in the blue bottle get the shampoo and conditioner, after you take a shower straighten your hair. You might want to get the straightener that you can use when your hair s wet they can be a little more expensive but they work i bought one and i use it when i get out of the shower and in the morning!

I have thick wavy hair but want thinner straight hair?

Get it thinned.

I have thick wavy hair but want thinner straight hair?

Normally I would say live with it, but I have seen that before, and I really feel bad for the guy,(it doesn't help that he wears khaki shorts birkenstocks and wool knee socks)

I would Suggest Herbal Essences Pin Straight shampoo and conditioner

and try to like blowdry your hair with a round brush

or like straighten it

I found a couple of sites that might help

I have thick wavy hair but want thinner straight hair?

Nobody is satisfied. I do not know where you are so I don't know if I'm going to do y ou any good. There is a line of products that you can get from beauty supplies. I buy my products from Sally's.

The line is (ion.) it comes in a ******* and white bottle. It is a whole line for frizzy hair. You would need the shampoo, the conditioner and the gel. They will straighten your hair gently and also keep it soft. You just shampoo and condition put on the anti-frizz and gel and you're done.

I have thick wavy hair but want thinner straight hair?

ok i have thick hair too,

what i did was went to the hair place, they thinned it out and straitened it for me, ( cause i dont want a perm either) but it looks sooooo great, and feels soo light, i love it but when u decide to wash it id use something with deep conditioning, or i use something called slickline i beilieve which i got at a sallys,(go to google and type in sally beauty salon if u dont know what it is) then i use a belson straiting iron. and another product called silk elements which makes it soft...heres it simpler

what u need

1.belson straitner

2.slickline hair shampoo and conditioner

3. silkelements heat spray(not tottaly sure what the rest of it is)

hope this some what helps

How to treat thinner hair?

just wondering because my hair is getting thinner and i would like to make it more thicker

How to treat thinner hair?

Hair extensions or hair gell.

How to treat thinner hair?

put textureizer (sp?) in it. it makes your hair seem more full and have more texture.

How to treat thinner hair?

Try Rogaine once in a while... that should work. Try not to use it often so your body wouldn't get use to it. A more natural way to cure thinning hair is olive oil. Warm it up and massage it lightly onto your scalp... and wait 30 minutes before you shower.

FALLING HAIR -

Does your hair fall a lot? Don't worry, you're not alone. Millions of people from all around the world suffer from dry, brittle and weak hair. Some of the possible reasons for falling hair are:

Tension

Too much work

Illness

Poor diet

Over-exposure to the sun

Perming

Amateur bleaching

Too frequent and inexpert use of tints, rinses or other colourants

Here is what you can do to prevent hair fall

Shampoo regularly. Remember, a CLEAN scalp is a HEALTHY SCALP.

Brahmi amla oil also promotes hair growth.

A high protein diet with plenty of fruits, green vegetables and dairy products is a must.

Drink 10-12 glass of water everyday.

Use a very mild shampoo and condition your hair at least twice a week. When you do, make sure you rinse out the conditioner thoroughly, otherwise residue build-up will cause your hair to look limp and dull.

Know your vitamins! IRON is important for healthy hair and brittle, limp hair indicates an iron deficiency. Spinach has a good iron content, so gulp it down!

ZINC helps prevent hair loss and greying. Eat adequate zinc rich foods. Overweight people tend to have zinc deficiency, which is inversely related to the body mass index. Thus if you are overweight and if your hair falls too much, you may want to increase your intake of zinc containing foods. Recipes containing stone ground, wholegrain flour are rich in zinc.

A shortfall in VITAMIN B may cause dandruff, falling hair, loss of colour and could encourage grey hair. So B group Vitamins are essential for gloss, colour and thickness.

VITAMIN C ensures the health of capillaries supplying blood to hair follicles. Make sure your diet includes plenty of fresh fruits and veggies.

VITAMIN E encourages hair growth. Switch from refined flours to wholemeal and wheatgerm, eggs, vegetable oil.

COPPER stops hair from falling. Studies show that the copper content in the blood serum of people with falling hair is less than normal. Different types of alopecia (falling hair) are seen to have a deficiency of this important trace element. Include small quantities of nuts, especially cashews and peanuts, seeds, whole milk and beans in your diet as these contain minute but important amounts of copper.

Homemade remedies for preventing hair fall:

Apply almond oil on scalp and massage.

Grind fenugreek seeds in water and apply on your scalp. Wash off after 40 minutes. Do this every morning for a month 闅哣 if it suits you! Remember, different treatments suit different types of hair.

Massage warm castor oil + almond oil into your scalp gently. Wrap a hot towel around your scalp so it gets absorbed into the hair. Do this twice a week for healthy, shiny hair.

Add 2-3 drops of honey to a glass of water and use this as the last rinse after shampooing.

Quick Hair Care Conditioner

Mix 1 egg, 2 tbs castor oil, 1 tsp vinegar and 1 tsp glycerine. Beat until frothy and massage lightly into your scalp. Wrap your head in a hot towel, steam, then wash off. This conditioner makes hair thicker, shiny, soft and manageable.

Honey Conditioner

Beat 1-2 eggs (depending on the length of the hair), 1 tsp honey and 2 tsp olive oil. Massage gently into the scalp. Steam, and shampoo after an hour.

Alcohol Conditioner

Beat 1-2 eggs with 2 tsp brandy. Massage into your scalp. Leave for 10-15 mins. Rinse well. The egg nourishes your hair and brandy stimulates hair growth.

Your hair is a vital beauty asset, requiring constant loving care. And with a little nurturing, lush, glossy hair will be yours.

ESSENTIALS FOR FALLING HAIR -

Does your hair fall often Arm yourself with these tools to combat hair fall.

Wide-toothed comb

Get yourself a wide-toothed comb. This is probably one of the most important yet underutilized of all hair tools. A wide-toothed comb helps you distribute conditioner evenly all over your hair while shampooing and conditioning. In addition, it also helps get rid of knots smoothly.

The best time to get rid of knots is during conditioning. Apply conditioner and run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair.

While untangling dry hair, do so in sections. Take one section at a time, and first, untangle the ends of your hair. Do so slowly, and don?t pull unless you want your hair to fall out in clumps or break.

Don?t wait for the last minute before detangling your hair. Every night, while sitting in front of the television, run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair, until you have untangled it completely. Do this every night, and you will notice that your hair remains free from tangles.

Leave-in conditioner

Dry hair tends to tangle easily, and, needless to say, causes it to break. Make sure your hair is never devoid of moisture by always keeping a bottle of leave-in conditioner handy. The next time you feel your hair is dry and rough to the touch, simply rub a dollop of leave-in conditioner between your palms, and apply it to your hair. Comb through with your wide toothed comb. Your hair will be instantly rejuvenated and moisturized. Gradually, the texture will also improve. This is a must if you blow dry your hair regularly, or if it is chemically treated. Such hair constantly craves moisture, so get yourself a bottle of leave-in conditioner.

Oil

Olive, almond and coconut oils are all excellent for the hair. While you could apply oil as an alternative to leave-in conditioner, oil tends to make your hair sticky, and you cannot style your hair well after applying oil. Your only alternative would then be to tie up your hair. For better results with oil, apply just a few drops immediately after washing your hair, when your hair is still dripping wet. Oil doesn?t penetrate the strands as easily as leave-in conditioner does though. Nothing beats a hot oil massage followed by a steam treatment, as the steam helps the oil penetrate the hair strands, strengthening them and curtailing hair fall.

Egg

Egg is great for the hair ? there are no two ways about it! True, it causes a tremendous stink in the bathroom, and your hair may let off an ?eggy? smell, but the results are instantaneous and worth it! Egg strengthens your hair almost immediately, and the egg yolk leaves your hair shining. Whip an egg with two tablespoons of olive oil and apply it to your hair. Wash off after half an hour. Make sure you wash off with cold water though, or the egg will start cooking in your hair, and would be harder to take off! Use a scented shampoo to counter the smell of egg in your hair, and follow up with a leave-in conditioner. Do this for a month, and you will be amazed by the change in your hair texture and the reduction in hair fall.

FORGET HAIR-LOSS/THINNING HAIR. Use "Segals" Brand of hair care and treatment products, imported in India from Canada. The products have a large clientele among the quality-conscious and upwardly mobile customers in various countries including the USA, Canada, France, Australia and Hong-Kong.

The products are revolutionary and the product range consists of a wide range of Formulations, Shampoos, Conditioners, Supplements, etc all manufactured for a precise and specific application to achieve desired results. The products are a highly concentrated and balanced compound of rare and exotic botanical herbs and other active ingredients including antioxidants. The scalp and hair-formulations have been designed to arrest hairloss and promote hair regrowth, treat thinning, damaged/dry hair, dandruff and psoriasis-like conditions in the scalp. Needless to say, all the products are effectively pH balanced, without side-effects and are GUARANTEED for visible results. The product range has been successfully test-marketed in India.

Specific to your problem, it is stated that hair loss starts due to an improper hair-cell metabolism. Good nutrition is important to have thick, full, luxurious hair with bounce, shine and proper texture. To ensure good quality hair growth and texture, the hair root needs a constant supply of oxygen and nutritional substances, which it obtains from the blood. The starved hair follicle needs to be nourished from within. The lack of proper nutrition to the hair root and follicle and unbalanced vitamin intake leads to tired hair and subsequent hair loss. Apart from lack of nutrients, Stress also causes hair-loss by the constriction of capillaries which feed the hair follicle. Stress also causes excessive perspiration attracting airborne debris and pollutants, thus clogging the hair follicles, leading to hair-loss.

We suggest you to use a herbal supplementation formulated from the best known herbs for healthy hair growth from roots. The rare herbs and active ingredients that help so are Fo-Ti, Stinging Nettle, Kelp, SawPalmetto, Silica, Rosemary, Inositol, Biotin and Horsetail.

We recomment to you the following for a minimum period of 3 months for visible results leading to reversal of the premature greying of your hair :

i) Segals Hair Root Formula: For cleaning the scalp and revitalizing the root of the hair for new hair growth. It makes the root free of all sebum, grime, flakes and dirt thereby strengthening the root and thus encouraging hair to grow. The blood circulation in the root is considerably enhanced, laying the foundation for healthy hair growth. To be applied on the scalp every night before bed. Not sticky. Will get absorbed in the scalp on its own.

ii) Segals Advanced Hair Root Supplement: For stimulating hair-cell metabolism and strengthening the connective tissue. Active ingredients in the Supplement have a nutritional ability to not only grow back lost hair but also restore hair to its natural colour and strength. Contains rare herbs like Fo-Ti, Saw-Palmetto, Kelp, Stinging Nettle, Inositol, Biotin, Horsetail and Silica, apart from other active botanical extracts, which are proven to show healthy hair growth from the roots.

Alongwith the Formulation and Hair Supplement suggested above, you need to you use Shampoo/Conditioner specific to arrest these problems. You may require to use Segals Advanced Thinning Hair Shampoo and Segals Thinning Hair Conditioner. There are a host of products of the same Brand, available for Damaged Hair, Dry Hair, Permed Hair, Colour Treated Hair, Dandruff, etc. You will have to choose the Shampoo / Conditioner depending upon the condition of your scalp/hair, for which you yourself are the best judge. Please don't use any commercial shampoos available in the market that contain Sodium Lauryl Sulphate / Cocamide / Propylene Glycol / Sodium Chloride / Artificial Colouring or Pearlizing Agents. Avoid perming and blow-drying for atleast 2-3 months while using the specified products, till the effects are visible and stabilise.

Please remember that these products are not mass-marketing, commercial products but are Professional products, created by a Qualified Pharmacist-Doctor in Canada and meant only for quality-conscious people. The fact that the products carry a 100% money-back guarantee in U.S and Canada should convince you about their effectiveness. All products are natural extracts and have no side-effects. The effectiveness of these products is backed by scientific research and clinical trials. These products are a better, safe and effective answer to various chemical formulations available in the market. How do I get rid of stupidly,crazy,staticy,fine,th... good condition hair?

I have tried leave in conditioners, putting conditioner on before shampoo, oils (makes my hair look oily-eww), hair spray (too sticky), Serum (too heavy). Things will last for about an hour or two, then poof! It clings to my face and arms, eeewww! HELP! I'm ready to go bald or braid down (with the puffy strands sticky up) and where a hat all day!

How do I get rid of stupidly,crazy,staticy,fine,th... good condition hair?

I know EXACTLY how you feel--I have the same hair. What I do is:

1. Wash my hair ONCE (not twice) with a hydrating shampoo. If you double-wash, it takes out the natural oils and makes your hair poof up even more.

2. Put in some conditioner while in the shower. Leave it in as you wash, shave, etc. Try and leave it in for as long as you can, ten to fifteen minutes hopefully.

3. Rinse it out, but don't rinse it too well. Just put your head under the tap for about 10 seconds.

4. As soon as you get out of the shower, apply some anti-poof product. I like Sunsilk Anti-Poof, as well as Kiehl's Heat-Protecting Silk Straightening Cream. I use both every day.

5. Keep applying small amounts of anti-poof every 5 minutes until your hair is completely dry. Do NOT dry with a hairdryer-that will poof up your hair even more.

6. Just a touch of shine serum for separation, and you're ready to go!

I know that this is stuff that you've probably heard before, but if you apply the serum in very VERY small amounts it shouldn't make your hair too heavy.

Good luck! :)

How do I get rid of stupidly,crazy,staticy,fine,th... good condition hair?

this usually happens from either brushing ur hair or touching it too much. dont spray a lot, but just a tiny bit of hairspray, not enuf to make it sticky, but enough to leave it off of u

How do I get rid of stupidly,crazy,staticy,fine,th... good condition hair?

How do I get rid of stupidly,crazy,staticy,fine,th... good condition hair?

How do I get rid of stupidly,crazy,staticy,fine,th... good condition hair?

Try Pantene shampoo that has conditioner in it. You can buy the one for "dry" hair, as that's what's causing the static electricity in your hair. Give the shampoo a chance to work, then if you aren't having any success, go to a salon.

WHY are people so dumb.

I have blonde highlights but my hair is thinning and I know bleach is no good. Does Rogain work? Wha

I am 26 and really like my blonde highlights but the blonde keeps breaking and as I get older my hair is thinning (espically having 2 young boys). Should I just go back to my natural color all brown untill my hair recooperates or try Rogain? Are there any good shampoos or conditioners to help with the dry thinning hair to help thicken and quench my hair? I wanna keep my highlights! HELP!

I have blonde highlights but my hair is thinning and I know bleach is no good. Does Rogain work? What do I do?

Obviously, any harsh chemicals, like those used in salons or at home (i.e. ammonia) strip color and also produce a great deal of breakage. The least you can do to help your hair is to try a breakage formula of shampoo for color treated hair. Personally, I'd advice giving you hair a break and dying it with a natural produce, perhaps black or brown henna. Avoid using Rogaine unless the hairloss is excessive. The premise behind Rogaine is that it keeps hair from falling out, but doesn't help you grow more. The downside is that if you stop using Rogaine, the hair that did not fall out WILL fall out. Give your hair a break, honestly, it's better to have thin dark hair as opposed to NO HAIR.

I have blonde highlights but my hair is thinning and I know bleach is no good. Does Rogain work? What do I do?

it is your highlighting that is killing your hair, the chemicals are too harsh, lay off

I have blonde highlights but my hair is thinning and I know bleach is no good. Does Rogain work? What do I do?

your hair needs time to recupe and yes rogain works you will have to decide which you want to do.

I have blonde highlights but my hair is thinning and I know bleach is no good. Does Rogain work? What do I do?

you need to take a break from the highlights and use rogain... I know you love your Blonde Highlites but wouldn't you rather have Nice thick silky Brown hair then stringy thining blonde highlites???

I have blonde highlights but my hair is thinning and I know bleach is no good. Does Rogain work? What do I do?

U don't have 2 stop highlighting if it's important 2 u. U should switch to using a (blonde) color instead of bleach/lightener. To thicken ur hair u should go 2 a salon %26amp; purchase Nioxin. It does work! It unclogs hair follicles %26amp; stimulates scalp. Nioxin has a full line of products. Including for chemically treated hair.

Do hair wavers work, or do they make your hair look crimped!?!?!?

I am deciding on whether to buy one or not, also would waves look good on me I have shoulder length thin hair!

thank you in advance !鈾モ櫏

Do hair wavers work, or do they make your hair look crimped!?!?!?

I have bought hair wavers several times, and they never turn out working good. They make my hair look frizzy, weird, and un attractive... I would suggest not wasting your money on them, buy a hair curler instead, and brush it out and it will look better then using hair wavers, trust me, my moms a hair stylist, thats why in my icon pic i have dyed hair :)

ashley

Do hair wavers work, or do they make your hair look crimped!?!?!?

Thin hair looks best curled, makes it big and beautiful. If you get a waver, I suggest a higher end one, the cheap ones are pretty much curlers.

A鈾

Do hair wavers work, or do they make your hair look crimped!?!?!?

i agree with ava, you need to have a really good one if you want it to work. and curling makes your hair look better and bigger.

Do hair wavers work, or do they make your hair look crimped!?!?!?

they work, they don't look krimped unless the bumps are small

Do hair wavers work, or do they make your hair look crimped!?!?!?

if u mean i curler than i would say yes.....but i would get a good brand thats recommended by a friend...but i u want curls everyday i would recommend a perm

Pert plus with conditioner for dandruff is good.My daughter likes it better then some of the others. To make your hair seem thicker try blow drying it with your head down. You could always go get it cut with long layers. That would also give you volume and It wouldn't seem so thin.

Why is the cell wall of the root hair cell ( plant) so thin ?

It is thin to enable it to absorb nutrients easily.

Why is the cell wall of the root hair cell ( plant) so thin ?

in order for water and minerals to pass easily

Why is the cell wall of the root hair cell ( plant) so thin ?

As already mentioned. The cell wall is thin and permeable in order to allow water and nutrients to move through the cells and into the circulatory system of the plant. All to do with osmotic pressure if memory serves me right.

I am a brown chick so i really want to know some good products that can really helping thinning hair on the sides and on the top!?! Help!!!

What hair product(s) would help thicken up thinning hair?

I had really thin hair, and all of the Garnier products thinkened my hair. If I am not mistaken, I think they might have a specific shampoo for thin hair to make it thicker...

How to have thinner hair?

hi there everyone, I have thick hair %26amp; I want to have less hair, thinner hair. Because i cant put my hair down, I dont think it looks attractive at all. It;s thick %26amp; wavy too. what to do? my sister says to do it, all I need to do is use hair products, because the chemicals will make my hair fall. No way, that will just damage it. I dont want to cut my hair either, I've waited so long for it to grow.

How to have thinner hair?

You can have it cut without losing the length of your hair.

When you go to the salon, let them know that you absolutely do not want to lose any length, but you'd like your hair thinned.

They will use one of two things:

1. a razor comb

2. thinning shears (which are just like scissors but with "teeth" on them

and that's really your only option.

As for styling products, use a tiny bit of mousse on wet hair and DO NOT BRUSH IT when it's wet (or dry). Just use a wide toothed comb when you get outta the shower and that's it!!!

How to have thinner hair?

go hairdressers

How to have thinner hair?

Pull some out.

How to have thinner hair?

well if it's wavy try to staighten it with a flat iron and that should give it a thinner look. it will ralaxe it a bit. and there are some products that help relaxe it and weigh it down without damaging it. see a hairdresser.

How to have thinner hair?

you can go to the hairdresser and they have a specific sort of razor that sort of cuts some hair out. You still can have really long hair, or just thins it out. Easy and painless procedure. Good luck!

How to have thinner hair?

wash it more often and with a more expensive one. always works. or for better results go to the hairdresses and ask them wat brand of shampoo n conditioner will make your hair thinner and not so wavy. also make sure u ask for one that doenst contain too many chemicals that can make ur hair fall out or damage it more.

How to have thinner hair?

Only your hairdresser can help you out. What you want is just to thin out your hair, but you also need to trim it, not more than 1 inch, to clean the end but not taking the lenght off, Be specific on what you want, make sure you tell her or him exactly you want. Problem occurs only, when the hairdresser and the client do not communicate well.

I'm a guy ... 5' 10" and thin..... i have like 4 inch hair right now... want to know

I'm a guy ... 5' 10" and thin..... i have like 4 inch hair right now... want to know how long i should grow it

BLACK, THICK AND SLIGHTLY WAVY LET IT GROW AND WHE IT GETS LONG PULL IT BACK IN A PONYTAIL.SEXY..JUST LOOK AT ANTONIO BANDERAS.

I'm a guy ... 5' 10" and thin..... i have like 4 inch hair right now... want to know how long i should grow it

Thin huh? Make ur hair Emo, is long enough, so dye it black, point it down to ur nose and spike it in the back. Chicks dig the emo hair.If u wanna master the emo look, wear black eyeliner. O and wear black, if u seek professional emo help, do another question about emo hair. For a better detail go to google images and type in Emo Hair.

If ur a prep, i wouldnt grow it long, but if u need to, i recommend skater hair, its basically the same hair length all around ur head. Its Skateboarder style. If u dont want it long, just do a buzz cut or for the preppiest hair, spike it in the front.

Good luck ^_^

Want a new haircut for my thin/fine hair, any suggestion?

I want a new haircut, right now it is in the middle of my back with layers shortest layer is about an inch past my chin. I have a oval shaped face and VERY thin/fine hair...so I need something that will make it look full and thick!!

Want a new haircut for my thin/fine hair, any suggestion?

HAVE LOTS of LAYERS!!! and use a thickening/volumizing shampoo to ! i recomend:

NIOXIN

and

NEXXUS

they work great for thickening hair!

Want a new haircut for my thin/fine hair, any suggestion?

You totally have my hair!!

Ok so my cut is similar but my layers are shorter, they are cut so they lay above the ears. This gives you shape, then your next layer should be just at the ends, maybe an inch or two difference. I use a flatiron on all of it, then use a large barrel curling iron for the ends to give a wave. The top layers just let go. I also have swept bangs that are cut to my eye lashes.

Good Luck, I'm sure you'll love it!

Thinning hair? Bald Spot?

Does anyone have any tips on thinning hair? I don't know if maybe it's because I use a flat-iron everyday, and maybe pulling my hair all the time trying to straighten it is making it thin? But it looks like I'm going bald when I do my hair? Any ideas? I've used volumizing shampoos and conditioners, with no help.. I was thinking maybe when of those hair loss shampoos? Any ideas?

Thinning hair? Bald Spot?

Quit doing what your doing and go natural, you have probably pulled your hair out or burned it and it broke off, leave it alone for a year

Anyone (male) take Dutas or Avodart for thinning hair?

I've been taking generic Avodart called Dutas (dutasteride) bought from Dr. Reddy's online pharmacy for nearly two years. My hair went through the normal shedding cycle, which told me it was working. It eventually stopped and my hair actually filled in pretty well. All of a sudden, a few weeks ago the shedding began again and there is once again noticeable thinning in the crown area. This is after two years when I thought it'd be over. The hairs falling out are thinner and finer than my "good" hairs, so maybe they are old DHT affected ones that are just now being replaced by new, "good" ones, or maybe the Dutas has stopped working and I'm losing what I gained over the past two years. Should I continue and wait it out, or stop taking the pills? Am I getting ripped off with bogus meds by some Indian online pharmacy?

Anyone (male) take Dutas or Avodart for thinning hair?

As far as I know the only proven systemic medication effective in stopping hair loss is Propecia. Propecia stops hair loss by interfering in the breakdown of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone. Dihydro is what causes atrophy of the hair follicles. Testosterone is what creates the male type characteristics. So it stops hair loss without interfering in the action of testosterone on the body.

I'm 48 and have been taking it for 8 years. It has totally stopped all my hair loss. Don't know anything about Dutas but I would be skeptical of any drug not investigated by the FDA that makes claims of stopping hair loss. Traveling salesmen have been peddling snake oils for hundreds of years to sell to people who are willing to grasp for anything to deal with a problem that causes emotional pain.

My advice is to flush the Dutas down the toilet. Go see a dermatolgist and get on Propecia. IT WORKS! One word of warning. It ain't cheap. Probably about 50 to 60 bucks a month. FOREVER if you wan't to keep your hair forever.

Anyone (male) take Dutas or Avodart for thinning hair?

Sounds OK to me.

losing hair at 18. gosh that is so scary to even think about. Is there any History in my family of hair lost at a young age. Maybe you should look that up. Your docotor should know what to do. but maybe there is something in the meds. that is making you react to it. Try going to see another docotor. Sometimes docotors seem like they know what they are talking about. but it won't hurt to get another reading for someone one new.

Im loosing alot of hair, its getting very thin, its early stages and i want to stop it now, what can i do?

OK, my hair is loosing too, but recently it start to slow down and I am start to see some baby hairs are GROWING. I had seen my doctor too. He gave me shampoo that doesn't work. Im loosing alot of hair, its getting very thin, its early stages and i want to stop it now, what can i do?

switch shampoos. this one girl at my school, her hair was falling out because of the shampoo she was using and she is 15 yrs.

Im loosing alot of hair, its getting very thin, its early stages and i want to stop it now, what can i do?

In my pro opinion, it's probably from your medical cond. and will most likely start thickining again once your cond. stabilizes. Many medical problems affect your hair and if your diet changes and especially of you lose weight quickly your hair tends to thin and fall out.

For the time being try to be gentle to the hair you have to prevent from breaking the fragile hair (stay away from perming, coloring, using alot of hot tools*at least limit it). Try using Nioxin products (sold at salons). With one use of the Shampoo and the Foam like treatment my husband had people ask whether he got hair implants because it made his hair appear thicker.

Take some viatmins and take care of your health and you should see your hair loss begin to cease and hopefully grow back.

Evening Out/Thinning Hair Via Multiple Layers?

Hi, I'm Chinese, and so I have very thick, ever-so-slightly wavy hair, meaning it's not stick-straight. Whenever I grow my hair out, it ends up looking triangular (it flairs out at the bottom), unless I get it cut and layered. A few years ago, I got my hair cut in China, and my hairstylist did a breath-taking job of thinning my hair (and thus making it look even, from top to bottom) by cutting it into multiple layers. And when I say multiple layers, I mean many, many, many layers. The best part was that, if you looked at my hair, you couldn't even tell there were layers. (In other words, the layers were not at all choppy; they were veritably invisible - smooth, sleek, and blended perfectly in with each other.)

I'm wondering, is it possible to find a hairstylist in the U.S. who can even out my hair via multiple layers? I live close to NYC, so if you could direct me to a salon there, I would be very grateful. Thanks for bearing with this long question!

Evening Out/Thinning Hair Via Multiple Layers?

i duno i donbt live in nyc

Evening Out/Thinning Hair Via Multiple Layers?

I live close to NYC also...but I suggest going to a hairstylist, and you could probably just ask them to do it. I mean, it can't be that hard, I've gotten layers and all different crazy stuff from many different stylists. I mean, I don't know or anything...but I think with any hair stylist it would be fine.

My hair is falling and getting thin.is there any solution to stop it?and make it stronger?

Are you taking a good multi-vitamin? theres a good place to start .B-vitamins are very important too as they feed your nervous system, which is often connected to thining hair when under stress. I lost alot of hair last year and started being really good about taking my vit's daily, massaging my scalp daily with my finger tips, as this brought alot of blood circultion to the hair root, and basically "feeds" it with all the bloods nutrients. It worked for me, Im sure it will work for you. I know how upsetting it can be though...hang in there. Hope this helps : )

My hair is falling and getting thin.is there any solution to stop it?and make it stronger?

My hair is falling and getting thin.is there any solution to stop it?and make it stronger?

my wife takes BIOTIN it is supposed to help your hair%26amp; nails.

My hair is falling and getting thin.is there any solution to stop it?and make it stronger?

Could be stress or could be that you need to use extra care.Try some conditioners that don't contain alcohol. Let in stay in for awhile and comb thru it too before you wash it out.

My hair is falling and getting thin.is there any solution to stop it?and make it stronger?

My sister went thru this and the dermatolgist had her cut her hair short so that she didn't keep pulling out more when she washed and cut it. This took the "pressure" off her hair and let it have time to regrow in healthy. She also took a hair and nail vitiman which I don't know the name of but she got it at GNC. her hair is fine now.

My hair is falling and getting thin.is there any solution to stop it?and make it stronger?

I had that problem too. It started when i got pregnant, my hair was falling like crazy i thought i am gonna loose it all. After i had my baby it continues to fall i sometimes will cry, because i see my hair everywhere in the house...i try so many shampoo's conditioners from salon and it didn't help a bit. And i was in the store once looking in the shampoos eyel and i saw new Pantane Pro-v Restoratives, it says that straightens hair and helps 90% from falling, in just one month i thought it's just another shampoo and conditioner that promises same thing. But i bought it and i used it in two weeks my hair stop to fall 44% i would say and in one month my hair stop to fall at all, now i am not afraid to brush it or anything...my answer to your question would be buy new Pantane- Prove Restoratives you can find it anywhere in the store and try there is Shampoo, Contidioner and Cream it might help you too...it's worth try

My hair is falling and getting thin.is there any solution to stop it?and make it stronger?

I just started using the Surge 14 hair revitalizer and some of the other Surge products. My hair stopped falling out within about a week of using these products. Surge doesn't make a conditioner, so I have been using Aphogee's moisturizing conditioner with the Surge shampoo. I also am taking hair and nail vitamins from Vitamin Shoppe. My hair has stopped falling/thinning and is now growing like mad.

My hair is falling and getting thin.is there any solution to stop it?and make it stronger?

Ensure that you eat nutritious food, with plenty of leafy vegetables. Have a soya milk drink and multivitamin tablets if you do not have time to have a healthy breakfast. More remedies at http://hairthinning.org/ will prevent further problems.

I color my hair every 5 months or so. My hair is falling out and feels thin. Why?

I am losing 100 hairs a day since I colored my hair last. Have I permanently damaged my hair and will the lost hair grow back ever?

I color my hair every 5 months or so. My hair is falling out and feels thin. Why?

you burnt you hair out so you might go bald but it will grow back

I color my hair every 5 months or so. My hair is falling out and feels thin. Why?

I advise you not to color it anymore! You should try some hair products to restore your hair and visit a hairdresser for more advice.

I color my hair every 5 months or so. My hair is falling out and feels thin. Why?

you already answered your question. coloring is really bad for your hair. it could get better if you dont color it anymore but you should really take care of it.

I color my hair every 5 months or so. My hair is falling out and feels thin. Why?

do not color your hair any longer. mine started to feel that way too so I stopped!

I color my hair every 5 months or so. My hair is falling out and feels thin. Why?

if you have ben lightening the whole of the hair that often you must have damaged your hair quite badly, if you colour your hair again just colour the roots, dont colour all the hair. for now you should try some deep conditioning products such as aussie 3 minute miracle or matrix. try not to use hair straighteners as they dry your hair very much. if your very worried you should go to the chemist and ask for any other products for hair loss/damage. i know vichy has a product like that.

if none of that works then you will have to see a specialist.

hope this helps and your hair stops falling out.

I color my hair every 5 months or so. My hair is falling out and feels thin. Why?

don't be panicking we loose at least 2oo strands of hair a day , if you have done any damage it would show up on your scalp (ie) a chemical reaction to the colour , you could also be over prosseing the ends when you redo your roots your only meant to do your roots and take it throw to the ends for the last 5 to 10 Min's . i suggest if it gets any worse or you start to see bald patches then go to your doctors.

I color my hair every 5 months or so. My hair is falling out and feels thin. Why?

lay off the dye for a while and see if it grows back.it could be your doing it too much.

How come i tried everyting my hair wont get smooth and silky an thin?

omg i have dry frizzy over the top freakin hair

How come i tried everyting my hair wont get smooth and silky an thin?

Palm oil

How come i tried everyting my hair wont get smooth and silky an thin?

Try hair mask (Keune for instance) or visit a good hair salon and invest in hair repair treatment.

How come i tried everyting my hair wont get smooth and silky an thin?

i have 2 pieces of advice for you.

1. i know it might sound gross, but only wash your hair at a maximum of every other day. if you let the natural oils in your skin soften your dried out hair, your hair would be noticably softer. remember to wash your hair the day it starts to feel too oily and stringy. if that's every other day, then that's perfect.

2. leave in conditioner. this is the best product to own. the first step to washing your hair is the shampoo. it cleans the hair. the second step is usually the conditioner, it moistens it. however, washing it out completely would wash out the moisture. some people like to use deep conditioner in the shower or bath, but you also wash that out. leave-in conditioner, however, you obviously leave in after showering or bathing. if you put about a nickel-sized amounth into your hand, and run it through your hair (mostly the ends,) your hair will feel much healthier and soft. leave-in conditioner isn't as heavy and creamy as conditioner. the lightness and gentle moisturizing of it allows your hair to get healthier without it looking oily or covered in product. GOOD LUCK!

What can I do for it. I want healthy strong hair. I applied valuable natural hair oils. So what can I do for it?

Please give me some instructions for a healthy hair. My hair is fallen. and it is so thin.?

vitamin e, and if you put your hair in ponytails try a loose pony so that won't pull and stretch your hair..good luck.. oh yea and try dr miracles it is not just for african americans, but don't use the grease just the shampoo and conditioner..i have seen that stuff work wonders on some bad heads!!! if you are using heat to style your hair get some hair products that work best when they are heat activated.. good luck

Please give me some instructions for a healthy hair. My hair is fallen. and it is so thin.?

Try not to use any styling products like hair dryers or curling irons if possible. There are shampoos and conditioners that are for thinning or damaged hair. I'd also recommend Redken products. I use Redken smoothing conditioner. Being on a healthy diet and making sure you are getting the right vitamins will make a big difference as well.

Please give me some instructions for a healthy hair. My hair is fallen. and it is so thin.?

Simple linda...............just improve your diet first ............eat lots n lots of fruits and veggies then the hair will glow from within'.no amount of oils will help you unless you eat well too.......avoid washingthe hair with harsh waters and shampoos too often

Please give me some instructions for a healthy hair. My hair is fallen. and it is so thin.?

A healthy diet rich in calcium would be a good start.

Please give me some instructions for a healthy hair. My hair is fallen. and it is so thin.?

Vitamins are essential for proper hair growth. For healthy sebum in the scalp we require vitamin A. Graying and loss of hair is arrested with the intake of Vitamin B6 and B12. Keratin is produced by Biotin and hair follicles are kept healthy by inositol. Panthothenic acid and Para-amino benzoic acids are also beneficial. These vitamins are present in fruits such as lemon, pineapple and strawberry and in vegetables such as potato.

Nioxin for thinning hair?

My hair is thinning pretty badly, i've noticed people mentioning nioxin and was wondering 1. if it work well. and 2. is it expensive?- i went to the website and didn't see any prices.

Nioxin for thinning hair?

閳俱儮娅曢埦锔规珨 Hi Amaya I have been using Avacore and it has had my hair growing very healthy and thick because I have not been perming my hair. It is expensive but it is worth it. Here is the website. I hope that I have helped you.閳俱儮娅曢埦锔规珨

Nioxin for thinning hair?

It works pretty good,I'm currently using it along with a multi vitamin and something prescribed by my dermatologist.Depends on what you consider expensive, but I found mine at a hair salon 30 caplets(1 per day) for $17.00.Good luck to ya'!!!

Nioxin for thinning hair?

I have tried Nioxin, the shampoo and conditioner were in a set for 35 dollars on sale.....very large bottles. It makes alot of claims, but I was not impressed with it and will not use it again.

Nioxin for thinning hair?

I paid around 70$ total and I didn't see any results. Everyone is different, but I wasn't impressed. I just heard about the thinning hair product line from Nexxus and I am going to try it. Good Luck

My hair is really thin, so how do i make my hair curly and wavy, and make it stay like that?

get a perm or go buy some hairspray and gel and scrunch it up with a little bit of water. works for me!

My hair is really thin, so how do i make my hair curly and wavy, and make it stay like that?

perm, haircurler

My hair is really thin, so how do i make my hair curly and wavy, and make it stay like that?

It is impossible to make your hair stay curly and wavy if the curl and wave is not natural. Just use curlers and a curling iron everyday. Then, people will think your hair is naturally curly and wavy if you do it all the time. At night, you could put french braids in your hair and take them out in the morning. That will give it curl. You could also get a perm... but those do not stay forever. Good luck!

My hair is really thin, so how do i make my hair curly and wavy, and make it stay like that?

Try using VO5's Curvacious Curls or their Volumizing mouse. I use the second one, and I love it. You could also try using Paul Mitchel's Volumizing shampoo and conditioner, then blow dry when you get out of the shower before you style.

My hair is really thin, so how do i make my hair curly and wavy, and make it stay like that?

well, thin hair and curly hair don't mix. u need some shampoo to give your hair body or volume, and then get a perm.

My hair is really thin, so how do i make my hair curly and wavy, and make it stay like that?

Using large rod hot curlers and hair spray will give the illusion of thicker hair. Getting highlights in your hair will give it more depth -- also making it appear thicker. You could also try extensions.

How do i make my hair which is thin, more stronger n silker?

I would suggest using Pantene, a volumizing version. Also, using moose while your hair is still damp helps alot. Oh, and for the silky part, I use the silky and smooth Garnier Fructis. It is fabulous!

How do i make my hair which is thin, more stronger n silker?

use a volumising shampoo like the green Kerastase one

How do i make my hair which is thin, more stronger n silker?

Try the Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo (and Conditioner if wanted) for Fine Hair.

To make your hair smoother try the Garnier Fructis Smoothing Milk.

You should use the same brand of products if you use more than one type of product. They work together becuase they are made by the same company.

You can get both of these at any drug store or at Target or Walmart.

How do i make my hair which is thin, more stronger n silker?

Take a b-vitamin complex at least 3 times per week with about 20-30oz of water.

Also, include walnuts in you diet.

My hair is thinning again. In the past it stopped and grew back. Now it is still coming out. I am 65

I have had my hair thin out 4 times in the past 30 years but it always grew back. I have used rogaine, thicking shampoos etc. I now wonder if I need better nutriction and vitamins. It keeps on getting thinner this time.

My hair is thinning again. In the past it stopped and grew back. Now it is still coming out. I am 65.vitamins?

Try Rogaine to thicken it back out.

My hair is thinning again. In the past it stopped and grew back. Now it is still coming out. I am 65.vitamins?

Unfortunately, thinning hair is one of the main symptoms of menopause, and while HRT will slow down some of the symptoms of menopause, if you have already had the thinning, it will not bring back the hair. If you had episodes of thinning hair prior to menopause, as it seems from your question, then I would wonder if you were ever checked for thyroid problems, or had excessive number of procedures and use of styling products on your hair? At 65, most women have thin hair. The thickening shampoos are a marketing ploy and no good. Rogaine WILL work but, of course, you have to keep using it. If it bothers you a lot, that may be your best choice. If you have never had your thyroid checked, you might consider it.

My hair is thinning again. In the past it stopped and grew back. Now it is still coming out. I am 65.vitamins?

You see baldness is really a man's problem during that age and it is genetically inclined (Androgenetic Alopecia ).There are no known medicines or vitamins can stop that (well only genetic re-positioning so that you won't get the baldness trait ) . For the meantime, Minoxidil and DCP could help to re-grow hair but only if yours will be responsive. I have a friend who had dramatic hair loss (but at her 30's ). She was asked to have blood testing done for vitamin deficiency, found out it was Zinc. Maybe you can try having a blood test done also (as adviced by a dermatologist expert in Hair problems ) just to check the vitamins you need to get but definitely this will just help you retain the hairs you have now . Hope this helps.

Improved nutrition may well help, but at our ages for women menopause symptoms and low thyroid are common causes for thinning hair.

Hello,

I've studied natural health for 10 years. Sometimes a lack of B Vitamins can cause hair loss. A good B-Complex, along with a B Vitamin called "Paba" has helped people's hair grow back after falling out. Keep in mind that in order for vitamins to work, all the vitamins must be present because they all work together. Eat a balanced diet of protein (meat, fish, cheese, eggs), carbohydrates (breads, potatoes, pasta), and vegetables. One time I stopped eating bread so I could lose weight, and my hair fell out in clumps. But when I started eating bread agian--it grew back. (bread has B Vitamins and carbohydrates). Don't forget to drink 8 glasses of water a day.

.Yes, it is true that old age often causes baldness because of a drop in hormones, but the vitamins are worth a shot. Take them with your diner meals, never take them without food.

There's a good vitamin company called Puritans Pride that my mom %26amp; I have ordered from for 25 years--they're high quality at low cost.

Is there any product to stop loosin hair? my scalp is really thin and it have bald spot...?

please help me find any product to help me grow more hair other than rogan or using nioxin shampoo...

Is there any product to stop loosin hair? my scalp is really thin and it have bald spot...?

honey if there was such a product no one would be bald. you can try hair club for man. a guy at my job has it and you can hardly tell. genetics have alot to do with your hair loss. you can also try hair thickening shampoo

Is there any product to stop loosin hair? my scalp is really thin and it have bald spot...?

you may want to try the organic root line I know for a fact that their products work 1 of my co-worker had that problem he said he started using the uplifting shampoo and his hair started to grow back. is always better to use the whole line go to your nearest beauty supply and ask for a pamphlet from organic root so you can see all the products they have and which one would work best with the shampoo.

Is there any product to stop loosin hair? my scalp is really thin and it have bald spot...?

Sounds like you are dealing with alopecia or hair loss and really need the advice of a doctor on how to combat this problem. Even in women it can be genetic, although of course much rarer than the "male pattern baldness" usually passed down from grandpa to daughter (mother) and son inherits the dominant allele for baldness. There is a Rogaine for women and also another trade name which escapes my cardboard brain at present, but you have already indicated you are not interested in commercial products. I know so little of Asian or homeopathic approaches, but you might want to at least investigate whether or not you can benefit by a consult from one of these sources. You may need a general workup from a physician to eliminate the possibility of a curable medical condition which could be causing your distress.

Is there any product to stop loosin hair? my scalp is really thin and it have bald spot...?

I use Pantene's hair breakage defense. It has a red label. It doesn't help grow hair but my hair does not fall out any more. I seen a significant decrease in hair in the shower.

Is there any product to stop loosin hair? my scalp is really thin and it have bald spot...?

Try Procerin:

Procerin has been specially designed for curing male pattern baldness only. It is more effective in people in the age group of 18-35 years. It has a success rate of over 88%. How does thinned hair look?

i know you can get you hair thinned if its thick but i want to know how it look so if you could please get me a pic i want to see it be 4 i do it

How does thinned hair look?

i've seen ur hair and u don't need to get it thinned, it's pretty the way it is.

How does thinned hair look?

Thick hair is way better than thin hair! If you have thick hair keep it! Your hair will get thinner! What I did was my hair was like really nice and thick and now it's gotten thinner because I curl and straighten ALOT! Big mistake, I miss my thick hair!

How does thinned hair look?

Mmk, so yahoo search has issues.!

But I have naturally thin hair. Hun, you don't want it!

It's frizzy, has a lot of fly aways, and is hard to curl and style.

How does thinned hair look?

Thick hair looks better in general. purposely thinning hair is usually good if the person has very curly hair and hair the pyramid head thing going on and wants a flattering shape for their face. but if the hair is going to be straight it doesnt look good because straight hair needs volume too look good and when you thin the bulk there not much to make volume with.

How does thinned hair look?

I know this sounds obvious, but you can get your hair thinned whether it's thick or thin. The degree of an effect it has varies with the person and how much it's thinned. In case you're not sure about the process of thinning, it's the use of special scissors that only cut parts of the hair. They're used to cut pretty short, at least in guys. That creates less opportunity for hair to 'tangle,' therefore less puffiness. I've had mine done in the past, but it doesn't really do too much to me. It looks fine, but doesn't change a lot.

For a picture, there are many before-after portraits with thinning online. You could just search for 'hair before and after thinning,' or something similar.

Hope this helps.

Thinning hair over the last 6 months?

Hi

Oh god, this is such a sensitive topic for me. Okay I've always dyed my hair, pulled on it, used hot things on it etc. I've always had healthy, FULL hair. Well in September I used some bleach product on it and had it on too long and lost some hair. I didn't have this product over entire head....only in certain sections and only one section was "over done". anyway, I also dye my hair brown all the time cause i have noticeable graying. So, the last 6 months I've noticed that my hair has gotten thinner. I've been letting my hair grow out for 1.5 years and it's getting super long, but why is it getting thinner? How do I get it back to good health?

Thanks!

Thinning hair over the last 6 months?

OK first off, you mention your hair is thinning. But you did not mention your age. If you are an older lady, hair loss is part 'n' parcel of getting older, and from what I'm told, its not all that uncommon in maturing women.

But yes, sometimes overstyling and fussing can cause loss.

Other issues include nutrition/vitamin deficiency. thyroid or other hormonal problems, menopause (estrogen loss), shock or trauma or extreme stress. I personally have battled this issue as a result of PTSD and fibromyalgia related issues.

I suggest a few things.

First, go to a doctor. Only your GP can determine exactly why you're having loss, and its important to rule out serious problems before you proceed trying to fix it.

Second, if health factors are ruled out, there are a few things you can do.

Nioxin is a hair shampoo/conditioner/spray system treatment that restores a full thick look to your hair while also stimulating growth. Its highly recommended not only to restore hair, but just as a fantastic cleanser in general.

Nioxin and other companies also have a line of vitamins specially designed for the health of your hair, to thicken and kickstart regrowth. I use Hair, Skin, and Nails. Yes, that is the name. Its about ten dollars per bottle.

One herbal remedy that is highly touted is the use of nettles. You can find them dried at a health food store, and when used in a tea and applied to the scalp, can stimulate hair regrowth, even in those who are bald.

My mother has also experienced thinning, especially since her hysterectomy, but saw it restored from eating 8oz or more of yogurt a day.

And above all, stop abusing your hair. Sometimes overstyling can cause damage to the shaft that will completely prevent regrowth.

I hope this helps! I've battled this since I was 14 so I know a thing or two by now! Good luck! :)

Thinning hair over the last 6 months?

You're not skipping conditioner, are you? If you are, That is a HUGE mistake!

Thinning hair over the last 6 months?

this is happening to me too, i'm only 13! it really bugs me but my doctor says it's due to stress in overall lifestyle as well as eating habits..

hope your thinning stops!

Thinning hair over the last 6 months?

As ur hair grows long, it kinda tends to look um, flat and thin. first of, try to cut down a bit on the heating/colouring till your hair gets a bit healthier. Use some good conditioners, preferably natural, such as Henna, egg, etc. and then use hot oil treatments, these really work... trim your hair a bit to take off all the split ends and givew it a more even and healthy look. And then of course, dont forget eat healthy and drink plenty of water, healthier hair begin on the inside! good luck and MEERRRY CHRISTMAS!!

Thinning hair over the last 6 months?

First, you may not like this answer but I would go to the Vitamin Shop if I wanted to dye it and check out the natural dyes. I lost my hair when I had it professionally permed and the stupid lady left me under the dryer too long. I had to cut my losses and just go w/ short hair for a while. Too bad, I was too unknowledgeable about the power an attorney could have done in this situation.Don't pull on it, use hot items on it although warm curlers will work fine. I would try Sephora products, keep good nutrition and a good quality protein diet, the more organic the better, avoid or limit sugar intake as that ties in with hormonal imbalances and take a whole food protein powder supplement and a good multivitamin.Consider kelp and Ginkgo Biloba as this helps with hormone regulation and stimulates good blood flow to the scalp and decrease stressors in your life.
