I have thick wavy hair but want thinner straight hair?

i have what some call the "jew fro". i want straight thin hair but i'm stuck with thick wavy hair. is there a shampoo or conditioner that i could use because my mom won't let me get it permed.

I dont think you have a product for thinning your hair... you can get it done from a salon... straigtening should decrease the volume of the hair to an extent but if you need it to be thinned better go to a salon and by a thinning product from them... sorry.. cant be of better help :(....

you could get it thinned out. ask for them to thin it out next time you get your hair cut. then you could flat iron it.

try straightening it every morning, though it's going to take you some time to do it.

there isn't really a shampoo/conditioner that you can just rub in your hair, and voila! it's straight! But you can try these brands...

1. Sunsilk (for straight hair ..it's in a purple bottle and comes in shampoo, conditioner, and creme .. you have to use all 3 in order for it work properly)

2. Herbal essences dangerously straight ( yeah, it's for girls.. but it's worth a shot I guess). I DO NOT recommend this as much

Also, you can look for any type of straightening cream at the drugstore.. or they have gels that are heat reactive where you just apply it , then blowdry and it will hopefully turn straight

OK a family member of mine has the same prob. What you need to do is buy Sunsilk in the blue bottle get the shampoo and conditioner, after you take a shower straighten your hair. You might want to get the straightener that you can use when your hair s wet they can be a little more expensive but they work i bought one and i use it when i get out of the shower and in the morning!

Normally I would say live with it, but I have seen that before, and I really feel bad for the guy,(it doesn't help that he wears khaki shorts birkenstocks and wool knee socks)

I would Suggest Herbal Essences Pin Straight shampoo and conditioner

and try to like blowdry your hair with a round brush

or like straighten it

Nobody is satisfied. I do not know where you are so I don't know if I'm going to do y ou any good. There is a line of products that you can get from beauty supplies. I buy my products from Sally's.

The line is (ion.) it comes in a ******* and white bottle. It is a whole line for frizzy hair. You would need the shampoo, the conditioner and the gel. They will straighten your hair gently and also keep it soft. You just shampoo and condition put on the anti-frizz and gel and you're done.

ok i have thick hair too,

what i did was went to the hair place, they thinned it out and straitened it for me, ( cause i dont want a perm either) but it looks sooooo great, and feels soo light, i love it but when u decide to wash it id use something with deep conditioning, or i use something called slickline i beilieve which i got at a sallys,(go to google and type in sally beauty salon if u dont know what it is) then i use a belson straiting iron. and another product called silk elements which makes it soft...heres it simpler

what u need

1.belson straitner

2.slickline hair shampoo and conditioner

3. silkelements heat spray(not tottaly sure what the rest of it is)
