Can't stand it! My skin is SOOOO Dry and my once thick curly hair is now thin and straight. Thyroid and Lupus tests are okay. Should I take vitamins? Help!!!!!

Nerves? For dry skin, drink lots and lots of water. Maybe you also need to change your diet? Cut out anything "white" in your diet (ie. white bread, white sugar, white rice, etc).

sean is right.. it does cause that.. are you not eatting enough or not properly.. if you are eatting right then i would see a doctor or get some hair vitiamins.. they sell those over the counter and they are good for the skin and nails as well

The ANA test for lupus is not a reliable test for many. Lupus needs also to be diagnosed by symptoms. You must be having other symptoms, or you would not have been tested? For dry itchy skin, I use Eucerin Lotion or Aquaphor Ointment. - though I have always had very fine hair, it is far worse now. I really don't care at this point whether I have that DX or not, except for the fact that more doctors are familiar with that than what I do have I meet criteria for Lupus though, just don't care A connected disease can have it with Lupus or without. I'd much rather just have Lupus.

hey there, yeah i just want to say i have the same problem as you! its so unfair having thin hair, ive been taking some vitamins and they havent done anything for me!?
