I have no idea. I guess that some salons have some kind of thinning process that they can do. Really though, I don't understand why you want thin hair. I have thick, super-curly hair but whenever I straighten my hair it gets really thin. I agree with xxteresa and I love thick hair. I wish my hair would be as thick straight as it is natural.

Get your hairdresser to thin it for you. Also using a good flat iron will help, just make sure that you use something to protect your hair from the heat of the flatiron (CHI makes a good product for that). Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum is also great.

To make your hair thinner...cutting your hairs in layers will make it thinner...but...i know another method..but it might/will likely damage your hair...mix some lemon juice with your shampoo...but i wouldn't recommend it..it damages your hair alot.
