Best Shampoo for Damaged and Thinning Hair?

I used to straighten my hair everyday and because of that my hair has become dry, damaged and thinning and falls out all. Is there any shampoo that anyone has used that actually volumizes and stops the falling hair? I've tried Dove Advanced Therapy Shampoo 2-3 times but it doesnt look like its working. Anyone know another shampoo that really works?

Go to your local beauty supply (Sally's) and try Nioxin or some of their other products for thinning hair. There is a leave in conditioner called fermadyol and it has a formula especially for thinning hair - it's really good - I use it with my clients a lot. Another thing you might want to check in to is to visit your doctor and have your thyroid levels checked. Dry, thinning brittle hair that falls out is one of the main symptoms - along with fatigue, weight gain and many others. If you have physical problems that are causing the hair loss no products on the market will help without getting that straightened out first. Good luck to you!

you need to not shampoo your hair but maybe every other day, unless you are in the midst of puberty and your hair gets really oily. Try a shampoo for dry hair, and the 3-minute miracle conditioner by Aussie. Also, you might just want to get a short cut for now, like a pixie cut. It takes a month for hair to grow 1/2".

oh my gosh you should try herbal essences. It makes my hair smooth as SILK, not even joking, and very flowy and revived....my hiar was damaged too. plus it smells really great.

try aveda's volumizing shampoo. It works wonders and your hair really looks fuller. I don't reallly know about your hair falling out?! maybe you should ask a doctor about that one. But get aveda.

it doesnt really matter what shampoo you use just try using the same kind/brand of shampoo. my hair falls a lot too and i found pantene best.
