I have really curly hair and i straighten it everyday...its really thin...help?

i have beautiful blonde curly hair, just the problem is, it takes a lot of work and time... so i just decided to straighten it everyday... the ends of my hair split like crazy and i have a handfull of hair in my hand by the time im done straightening it. i use hot oil treatments, moisturizing masks for your hair, etc... but nothing seems to help...

i would leave my hair curly, but i dont have time to style it every morning before school, i would much rather just put it up, and leave the house...

do you have any inexpensive ways to keep my hair healthy?

First you need to be using some kind of shine/protectant spray on your hair as you flat iron it. this will help any frizz and it keeps your hair from falling out. I also use Redkin's anti snap on my hair. I have went from a shower and sink full of hair to hardly any. My hair doesn't break anymore and it isn't falling out either. I also have very curly hair that I have chemically straightened every 6 months or so and I still have to flat iron it every day. If you can get away with it, only wash your hair every other day. Let it air dry if possible instead of blow drying. Blow drying helps with the straightening but it only puts that much more heat on already stressed hair. Good Luck

I have curly hair and I straighten it all the time too...and yes, it does get thin...

My only suggestion is to stop straightening it so much. It's just gonna keep on getting thinner and thinner...it's better to make time to do it curly than have all your hair fall out.

Have it curly some days, straight others, or keep it straight for a few days before washing it.

I have really thin hair too, but mine isn't curly. But my sister's is, and I know the perfect way to fix your problem...

After you take a shower, brush all the tangles out, then blow dry your hair upside down, do it until it is partially dry, which gives it volume. Then when your hair is almost dry, flip it over and take a round brush, and slowly blow dry your top layer, so as making the effect of straitening it.

I understand that it won't be completely strait, so take your straitener, and just fix a few spots.

It may take a little longer, but it will be worth it.

I like my hair to have volume and this works.

Have fun!!!

I have curly and thin hair, too. I'm always pressed for time in the mornings, so what I do is put some gel in it, let it air dry while I put my makeup and clothes on, then blow dry it on a low setting to give it some lift. I don't dry it completely, though, because that causes it to become frizzy. Best of luck to you!
